The Initial Visit
The initial visit involves establishing whether Chiropractic is suitable for your health needs.
There are a few forms for you to fill out initially. These will collect your basic contact details and health information.
To save time, you can download the new patient form from HERE.
After we have the information - then we can let you know how we can best be of assistance.
A thorough consultation (history) with the chiropractor will then be conducted to discuss your health concerns and needs.
A thorough examination will be completed next to determine if you have a problem that chiropractic can help & if so to what extent the problem has already affected your body. This will include orthopaedic and neurological tests, as well as a spinal examination.
If indicated, then x-rays will be done. These are bulk-billed for your convenience and completed on-site within the clinic.
Also - we will establish exactly what it is you are hoping to achieve from chiropractic care - so that we can give you our best recommendations.
Report of Findings - this is usually completed on the second visit.
What the problem is, and how we can help it.
The options that you have in managing it.
The expected timeframes for you to achieve the results you are after.
Treatment
Most patients will get relief from the very first adjustment.
The adjustment is a gentle process and will help to restore movement and function.
It may be appropriate to treat the surrounding muscles and ligaments to assist with healing.
