What to expect:

Your appointment is about understanding what’s going on, what may be contributing to your symptoms, and whether chiropractic care is appropriate for you.

We’ll take the time to listen to your concerns and discuss how your symptoms are affecting your work, sleep, exercise and everyday activities.

What happens at your visit?

1. We’ll talk about what’s been happening
Evan the Chiropractor will discuss your current symptoms, when they started, what makes them better or worse, and any previous injuries or health concerns that may be relevant.

2. We’ll perform an examination
Depending on your presentation, this may include assessing:

• Your posture and movement

• Spinal and joint mobility

• Range of motion

• Muscle tension, strength and function

• Muscle, nerve & joint tests

The examination is tailored to you — we only perform tests that are relevant to your particular concern.

3. We’ll explain what we find
We will discuss our findings in straightforward language and explain what we think may be contributing to your symptoms.

If chiropractic care is appropriate, we’ll talk about your treatment options, what we hope to achieve and what you can reasonably expect from care.

4. Treatment IS NOT a part of your visit
We will send you an email summary of everything that we have discussed.

You will have the option to book in for a further visit to begin care as discussed.

Our aim is to help you make an informed decision about your care. We’ll explain our recommendations, answer your questions and make sure you are comfortable before proceeding with treatment.

If we don't believe chiropractic care is appropriate for your condition, we'll let you know and recommend further assessment or referral where necessary.
